The power of imagination is endless. One thought leads to other and a whole dream world could be created. You can determine your personality by the things that you imagine. Now, since you are reading this, I have imagined you to be sitting in a closed room with either your mobile or your laptop. (Why did I imagine a closed room ? because it's too hot and the AC needs to be turned on !). Look at the door of your room for a while and try imagining what would happen the next moment. It could be anything. Try flowing out your creative juices. If you imagine a ferocious animal coming towards you, breaking through the door then probably you get influenced by negative thoughts. And if you imagine a beautiful angel walking towards you through the door and kissing you, then you have a positive and optimistic approach towards different things in life.
I'm not saying that negative thoughts are bad. But you could use them in a good way too. Imagine you are digging the ground for soil that you need for your new garden. After digging a meter deep, if you find bad soil and you continue digging, you are on the wrong path ! But if you start digging at a different place then you are doing it right. Till you know something is bad, how can you go on the right side ? Nothing is wrong in taking a U-turn...For example, on your way to the exam hall, just because you are nervous you start imagining that your car will meet with an accident. When such thought comes to your mind, you need to talk to yourself and say,"Hey! calm down, that was a negative thought. Think positive and everything will go right". By saying this you are avoiding the wrong path. Because once you start imagining more negative things, it will only make you feel worse and stressed, which in turn will affect your exam.
They say that grass is greener on the other side. But who knows ? A person standing there might also think the same about you. If you imagine things and visualize it, you will remember it for a longer time and make study easier.
For example, I have to memorize a part in geography which says that laterite soil has high content of acidity and cannot retain moisture, it is coarse and crumbly. Now to remember this I will imagine a cartoon rock with two legs and two eyes. It has holes throughout its body because its porous and crumbly. To remember that it has high acidity i will make it burp. And then imagine it wearing a dog tag with letter L inscribed on it. When i am asked about it in an exam, the .gif file (of the hipster rock which burps) will be played in my mind instantly and i will have no problem in writing the complete answer ! Hurray !
If you keep questioning yourself "What if ?" , visualize it and keep the curiosity alive, you can grow the creativity inside you. What if the room in which you are sitting was upside down ? You would get to jump over the fan blades like a skipping rope or What if you were the CEO of a company ? Would you be able to keep your employees encouraged ? What if money grew on trees ? Would people start planting more and more trees which they are supposed to do now ? What if you could control time ? and similar endless questions.
So gear up and start making mojitos and mocktails instead of old-fashioned lemonade from the lemons that life has given you. You can make a difference !
